  Here is what I have used for a few years with no problems. Install MV/IC and give it
username minivend & group minivend. Users have their own groups also so steve is in group
steve. Now edit the group file and add the user minivend to the group steve. Ok now run
makecat and give it M and minivend as the minivend user and cat user is steve and
minivend group is steve. Runs without a hitch.

Of course minivend and steve can be whatever you need them to be.
