[ic] interchange.cfg ownership

Thanks for the response. I changed interch to have a shell environment and
restarted without any errors. Though i'm having problems geting into the
customer or admin sections. I've posted an earlier message about the
problem. I've read that installing with the FreeBSD port can muck things up.
Don't know quite what is wrong yet though I do appreciate your time. I'm
sure interchange is worth all the effort.

:)

[The interch user needs no login capabilities. It does need a shell
[environment. My interch user has an /etc/passwd entry of:
[
[interch:x:104:104:Interchange server:/var/lib/interchange:/bin/bash
[
[and the line in /etc/shadow is marked to prevent login.
[
[Use a script like the one in the startups on the rpm. Root runs it then
[changes to interch. You can also start it from
[/usr/lib/interchange/bin/restart as root. It will also change to user
[interch.
